This article will explain how to edit emails within Knock.

Changing the Email Subject Line

Update the email subject line for a more personal touch! From an individual prospect's card, click the Edit Subject icon under the email text box - From there, you can update your email subject and click Save

Customizing the font and style

Use the different formatting options to make your emails easy and fun for your prospects to read.

Some of the options you have to customize your emails:

  • Font Changes and size

  • Text Color and Background Hue

  • Bold

  • Italics

  • Underline

  • Strikethrough

  • Indentions

  • Bullet points and Numbered lists


 

Other formatting options

If you really want to spice up your communications, don’t just stop there! Try some of these features to display and maximize your email usage!

 

  1. In-line Photos and HTML! you can include photos inline in the body of your email for additional context. To add an image you can drag & drop from your desktop or copy and paste it into the editor window.

2. Merge Tags. Save time and cut down on mistakes with prospect names by using Merge tags. Simply type # and you’ll get a menu to select a merge tag, Knock will input the merge tag code.

Pro tip: Merge Tag code also works in existing text based quick replies. Simply copy the snippet like #RecipientFirstName  to your quick reply and save it, you’ll never have to type a person's name again.

3. Hyper-Linking, where you are able to customize the link type (email, phone, website) as well as the displayed text - great for in line communication!

4. Emojis! You can now add fun emojis to add some personality and love to your communication. Most standard emoji types are available and searchable inside of the text (pro-tip use the “:” symbol to quickly insert them into your messages!)

5. Spell Check! Knock uses the Google spell checker installed in your browser. To ensure it's turned on, go to

  • Settings

  • Advanced

  • Language

  • Basic or Enhanced Spell Check

 


 

Adding Attachments

Add an image or file to your emails from your desktop. In order to do so - simply click on the safety pin logo, or pull up the file from your computer and drag to drop that attachment right in line! It will attach itself to your message and live in the context of your communication.

Adding Quick Replies

Make your follow ups go faster by adding quick replies. These are canned responses you can save so that by one click of a button, it will generate into the email message box! Learn how to create quick replies here.

Adding Quotes and Unit Links

Add more value to your emails by including quotes for specific units or unit self scheduling links. Both include details about the community that show why your community is the best one! Read more about adding quotes here!

The blue dollar sign button is to generate quotes and the green button is for the property link encouraging self scheduling.

Text Message Opt In

Encourage your prospects to opt in for SMS text messages by sending them the opt in link. Click this link to embed the opt in link into the email. Learn more about all the SMS opt in paths here.
