Knock has some great desktop notifications to alert you of any new activities. Here's what one of them looks like, even if you don't have Knock open:

There are two types of desktop notifications for any new messages, phone calls, or appointments:
-
๐ Desktop notification: These will pop up on your screen as long as you have Google Chrome running on your computer- Chrome can be hidden or minimized in the background, and you don't even have to have Knock "up" in a tab.
-
๐ Audio alert: This noise will ping you when you have a notification. It requires Knock to be open for you to hear it.
You will need to have Google Chrome (which is the best modern web browser for using Knock and anything else) and you will need to enable notifications on each computer you want to receive notifications on.
Here's how to enable both of these 2 types of notifications:
Desktop Notifications:
Step 1:
On the top left corner of Knock, click on the Bell icon:
Step 2:
Chrome will now ask you to allow desktop notifications. Click "Allow":
And that's it! ๐
You should now see the bell no longer has a strike through it and Knock says "Notifications on" if you hover over it:

Audio Alerts:
To enable audio alerts, simply click on the Microphone with the slash through it in the top left corner of Knock:

And that's it! You should see the microphone no longer has a slash through it and "Audio notifications on" shows up if you hover over it:

Note that audio notifications, unlike desktop notifications, do require that you have Knock open on a tab on Google Chrome. This is a limitation of Google Chrome (and any web browser). Hope you like our notifications!
